Childcare students get a special visitor!

Yesterday we had a special visitor in school to help Mrs Baker with the childcare life skills lesson. Baby Remiah came to visit Sutton after her mother kindly lent her to us for the afternoon.

Remiah has a condition called Downs syndrome and this has resulted in her having two major heart operations so far.

Pupils learnt how a baby with additional needs may need extra help and support.

Pupils helped to change a nappy, feed her, play with her and take her for a walk.

We are very proud of the pupils for looking after Remiah yesterday afternoon as they were kind, inquisitive, respectful, affectionate, and brimming with empathy. Cant wait to see her back in to visit again!
