Snap, Crackle, POP… #parenthub

Snap, Crackle, POP…

Our Year 9 Create Pathway group have made an amazing start to their GCSE Art coursework with the topic of Pop Art.

By researching different artists work our pupils have really got an understanding of what Pop Art is. They began to create work in the style of famous Artists such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Wayne Thiebaud. Pupils are now painting things of interest to them in the style of their chosen artist such as Batman, the Avengers, sweets and Doctor Who. Pupils have tried a range of media including water colour, acrylics, oil pastels and they are now beginning work with textiles such as batik, fabric painting and applique.

I think you'll all agree their work is great! Well done Year 9!
