Lunchtime Arrangments

A cooked school meal is provided to pupils if they require one.  Pupils may, if they prefer, bring a packed lunch.

If you receive Income Support or Job Seekers Allowance, your child may be entitled to free school meals. Please let us know whether your child is going to have a cooked meal or sandwiches at the start of the week so a meal can be prepared if required for you child.  We very much appreciate dinner money for the week paid in full on a Monday.

The cost of a school meal is currently £2.00 per day.

Packed lunches are eaten in school, during good weather in the Summer term select pupils are allowed whilst under supervision to eat their sandwiches on a outdoor patio area.

Lunchtime Clubs

Lunchtime clubs were introduced to offer a range of extra activities during lunchtime breaks. Clubs included social games in the new purpose built Arena where lots of new games were purchased i.e. Ice Hockey and Table Tennis tables, this club also runs at break time.

Pupils at lunchtime also have the opportunity to attend Literacy, Numeracy, ICT and Homework Clubs.

Due to the success and popularity of the clubs, the Arena Social Skills Club has now been introduced as part of Breakfast Club to promote a relaxed atmosphere, preparing the pupils to be ready and settled for the day ahead.
