The maths curriculum is broad, balanced, relevant and challenging. It meets the requirements of the National Curriculum and includes modifications to make it accessible to all pupils.
Here at Sutton School we aim to give pupils the opportunity to access an age appropriate science curriculum. We endeavour to stimulate pupils to develop an understanding of the biological, chemical and physical aspects of our shared world. To this end we use practical work to engage pupils. Science is used to develop literacy, mathematics, ICT and the motor skills of pupils in a variety of stimulating contexts. Through studying controversial topics such as genetics and nuclear fuels we hope to give pupils the skills to express their opinion when faced with moral dilemmas
ICT is used in all aspects of life. We aim to provide pupils with a broad curriculum that will allow them to successfully and safely use technology throughout their life. Sutton teach E-Safety both discretely within as a unit of work and it is embedded in the whole school curriculum.
