As you know we try very hard to keep parents regularly informed about what’s going on at the school.  However, sending paper letters home can be rather ‘hit and miss’, with letters often going astray.  We are also increasingly aware of the substantial cost, time and environmental impact associated with the amount of paper and photocopying involved with this.

To help improve these areas we have decided to use a service called ParentMail, which is used by over 3,500 schools across the UK to communicate with 2 million parents by email and text message.

ParentMail will be beneficial to you because:

·        You can return and reply to forms for trips and other consents

·        You can pay for products, trips and school meals online using PayPal, PayPoint or debit/credit card

·        Messages will get to you reliably

·        We can send messages directly to mums and dads at the same time

·        You will quickly know about important or urgent messages

·        We can tell you more about what’s going on at the school

To use ParentMail we need to collect your email addresses and mobile numbers.  We already hold this information for many parents.  If you have not given the school these details, please do so by calling the school office on 01384 818670.

You will continue to receive a paper copy as a last resort, however, these do go missing. By using ParentMail you will also have a history of all of the communications you have received.

Please be assured that ParentMail is registered with the Data Protection Registrar and guarantees that all information you provide will be kept private and will not be passed on to any other organisation.

More information and help for parents can be found at:

You may have received an invitation to register, please do so but DO NOT USE THE APP FEATURES UNTIL SEPTEMBER 2019.

If you have a child at another school using ParentMail please use the same email address that you used at their school; that way your ParentMail accounts will be linked. You may be asked to confirm your identity by entering in the date of birth of the eldest child in the two (or more) schools.

The app is available to download free on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store by searching for ‘ParentMail’.

If we have your email address you should have received a registration email.  Simply click on the link to create your account.

If you have any queries or would like help and advice on setting up a free email address please contact the school office 01384 818670.
