What is a Pathway?

At the end of year 8 pupils will have the opportunity to pick one of three Pathways which they will follow for the rest of KS4. The Pathway will include a range of linked courses where they will work towards achieving recognised qualifications. Within each Pathway pupils will have the opportunity to experience work related learning.

Why Pathways?

Pathways will enable us to offer a wider range of subjects and experiences for our pupils here at Sutton. Our vision is:

  • To equip pupils with transferable skills

  • To allow pupils to gain life experience

  • Provide a gateway to more opportunities

  • To enable an easy transition to Post-16 education and work

  • For our pupils to have a more enjoyable experience of school life
