School Uniform & Dress Code
Sutton School and Specialist College is proud of its uniform and expects its pupils to wear it at all times. Wearing of a school uniform is an important way for a pupil to feel part of the school. Below is an outline of what your child can wear as the Sutton School and Specialist College uniform. All pupils should wear suitable black shoes – no trainers. Pupils will also need a school bag for planners. Water bottles, pencil cases etc.
- Black School Blazer
- White shirt and school tie (long or short sleeves are permitted)
- Black skirt or trousers (girls)
- Black trousers (boys)
- Black shalwar or kameez
- Black shoes
- Polo Shirt

We prefer pupils not to wear any jewellery. We only allow pupils to wear stud earrings which they must remove for any PE activity. We recommend that pupils do not wear to school any item of monetary or sentimental value.
Hairstyles are classified as part of school uniform. It should be noted that a “smart” style is required. The Headteacher reserves the right to decide what is classified as smart. Tramlines and colours are not acceptable.
