Pupils take part in outdoor learning, climate education, and residential experiences that build confidence, resilience, and practical skills. As part of the Duke of Edinburgh programme, pupils work towards a Bronze Award, taking part in outdoor learning to prepare for an expedition. These expeditions can include an overnight camping experience in an outdoor setting.
Sutton School benefits from its own woodland area, where pupils take part in a range of activities to develop outdoor knowledge, environmental awareness, and practical skills. Climate education is taught throughout our curriculum and is highlighted across subjects including humanities and science, helping pupils understand environmental issues and sustainability.
