We are looking forward to meeting all of our new starters and have planned a series of events to support this process, ease your worries and enable you to feel more comfortable and confident with the exciting changes that lie ahead!
We will be hosting a Parents and Carers Transition Meeting on Tuesday 17th March. Parents and carers of pupils who have been allocated a confirmed place in Year 7 from September 2026 by the Local Authority (as identified in Section I of their EHCP) are warmly invited to attend.
During the meeting, you will learn more about the roles of key staff and have the opportunity to meet the Year 7 class teachers and support staff. You will also be able to visit the classrooms where your child may be learning, explore the wider school environment, and complete any admissions information ahead of September 2026.
This meeting is always very well received and is designed to help parents and carers feel confident and well-prepared to support their child. There will also be opportunities to ask important questions and discuss the transition process in detail.

These three dates offer an opportunity for Pupils, and Parents and Carers to spend time getting to know Sutton prior to starting in September. Always a success these sessions include tea/coffee and biscuits!
