Ethan Lane

Attended Sutton School: 2013 - 2016

“I have always been fascinated by cars, but due to my disability I felt that my dream of pursuing a career in Transport was impossible. Then I got the opportunity to join DPD as an Inspire intern in their Transport department - and I’ve never looked back. It gave me the hands-on experience and support I needed to show my abilities and how I could be an important member of the team, and because of this my confidence grew, as did my responsibilities. This resulted in me being offered a permanent role in November 2020.”

He has worked at Tesco Cradley Heath for the past 4 years; he works on trolley duties making sure the trolleys are put away and that the car park is always a safe place for customers. He also works as a cashier on the tills, being responsible for handling large amounts of money and being polite and helpful to customers. He enjoys his job greatly and feels part of a team at Tesco.

Josh makes his own way to work either by bus or on his bike.

Josh has a busy social life, he is a season ticket holder at West Bromwich Albion. Josh is part of a darts team and attends lots of social gatherings with friends.
